A pencil is a writing utensil most commonly used in school buildings, and there are many different types. However, pencils can be categorized into two main categories: mechanical and non-mechanical.
Mechanical pencils are pencils that must have the eraser pushed or the tip turned for lead to come out, and the lead is used to write. The user must not make too much lead come out, or else it will break when the pencil is used, and there are also different types of lead: point seven, point nine and point five. There may also be more types.
Non-mechanical pencils must be sharpened for the lead to come out, and then it is used. The more they are sharpened, the sharper the lead will be, but after that, it will most likely break. It can also break if the pencil is pressed down too hard at a bad angle.
